Blunders in the Field: An Ethnographic Situation among the Drung people in Southwest China

Abstract : This chapter discusses the "entanglements" at the heart of participant observation and ethnographic practice, and the need for exploring the cultural and political conditions of ethnography in a socialist state setting such as that of the People's Republic of China (PRC).
