Formalisation du capital environnemental et projet de territoire : le cas des Biosphärenparks autrichiens

Abstract : The Austrian Biosphärenparks, labelled by the UNESCO for their sustainable management, are usefully analysed through the concept of 'environmental capital'. This notion allows to consider the diverse values – including the non-economic ones – attached to the nature objects of a given space, as well as the social and cultural relations that shape those values. Here, we try to demonstrate the relevance of such an approach, altogether relational, constructivist and holistic, to the understanding of rural development plans. Indeed, the Biosphärenparks build a coordination platform for the formalisation of an environmental capital.
