« Sony Labou Tansi, précurseur de nouvelles écritures dramatiques ? »

Abstract : This article focuses on the modernity of Sony Labou Tansi’s theatre. If we study his plays according to the drama crisis and deconstruction which characterize modern and contemporary Western playwritings, they resist interpretation. Bringing the categories inherited from Aristotelian theory used in drama studies into question, Sony Labou Tansi’s playwriting is about movement, where contradiction and question coexist and do away with principles such as order and measure. By this singular way of doing theatre which breaks with summonses, Sony Labou Tansi is a forerunner of a new type of playwriting.
