Le coworking, un espace pour les transactions hors marché ? : La valorisation des réseaux sociaux pour travailleurs indépendants

Abstract : Coworking spaces are flexible working spaces that enable freelancers to have access to the social networks they need for their work. In addition to fostering the social link between otherwise isolated freelancers, the space serves as an intermediary for interaction between coworkers by creating secure conditions for their transactions. These interactions may be market transactions that are economically profitable, but most of them exist outside of the market and are part of a gift economy. This article is based on an ethnographic study by the author over a year and a half in a coworking space in Paris.
