Dans quel horizon théorique analyser les listes de diffusion de traducteurs ?

Abstract : As a new development from the Internet, mailing lists enable translators to gather in “virtual communities” and share with their colleagues the difficulties they encounter in their activities and solve them, at least to a certain extent. The lists therefore are used as a cognitive tool, both as a supplement to traditional problem-solving strategies and a substitute to existing research methods. They are also used as a tool for creating new forms of social life among a community. Since their use has already been partly described in other fields of activity, what theoretical background, in particular sociology, would we be willing to look at, in order to transfer concepts and methodologies into Translation Studies? Such is the point in the present article.
