Dieser Artikel analysiert die Art und Weise, mit der die Buchhandlungen im 19. Jahrhundert, zu einer Zeit tiefgreifenden Wandels,
den Pariser Raum für sich eingenommen haben. Welche Herausforderungen bestehen im Bereich des Umzugs und/oder der
Verwurzlung der Händler in und außerhalb der Hauptstadt, was die Handelsdynamiken und die sozio‑professionellen Stratifikationen
einerseits und die Werdegänge und Interdependenzverhältnisse andererseits betrifft? Das Buch gibt einen privilegierten Zugang zu den
sozio‑urbanen Transformationen des 19. Jahrhunderts.
This article queries how booksellers appropriate the Parisian space, at a time of profound changes. It’s understanding of the issues the
displacements and/or the implanting of the storekeepers, within the capital and sometimes outside, in terms of commercial dynamics
and socio‑occupational stratifications on the one hand, and trajectories and interdependent relationship on the other hand. After the
analysis, the city appears as the support and the reveling of upward or downward mobility of its actors and the book as a privileged
observatory of the social and urban transformations of the 19th century.
Este artículo examina como los libreros se apropian del espacio parisino, en un momento de profundos cambios. Plantea entender
los retos de los desplazamientos tal como del arraigamiento de los comerciantes, dentro de la capital y tal vez afuera, en términos de
dinámicas comerciales y de estratificación socio‑ocupacional por un lado, y en cuanto a las trayectorias y a las relaciones de interdependencia
por otro lado. Tras el análisis, la ciudad aparece como el soporte y el testigo de las movilidades, ascendentes o descendentes,
de sus actores y el libro como un observatorio privilegiado de las transformaciones sociales y urbanas del siglo xix.
Cet article interroge la manière dont, au XIXe siècle, les libraires s’approprient l’espace parisien, à l’heure de profondes mutations.
Quels sont les enjeux des déplacements ou de l’enracinement des commerçants, au sein de la capitale et parfois en dehors,
en termes de dynamiques commerciales et de stratifications socio‑professionnelles et aussi de trajectoires et de relations d’interdépendance.
L’étude du livre apparaît comme un observatoire privilégié des transformations socio‑urbaines du XIXe siècle.
