Rhétorique de la terreur après les attentats parisiens : réflexions sur l’émergence de quelques phrasèmes

Abstract : While Paris plunged 2015 into shock and mourning after two waves of terrorist attacks, media discourse was alive and well, hammering the same news on the radio, in the papers, on the radio and television. In those moments of collective stupor, the media occupy the space of public speech more than any other time. New expressions emerge and are loop relayed before getting adopted, rejected, or forgotten. The aim of this article is to analyze some of those particular expressions, notable by their vivacity in the days and weeks following the attacks. These expressions are presented from two perspectives: the first express terror and the others can be seen as the expression of togetherness. They all reflect a period both of trauma and of semantic fumbling.
