Abstract : This presentation discusses the writings on migration that have been produced in Lebanon by social scientists. What are they? Which discipline has produced more studies in the domain of social sciences? What is the dominant paradigm that shapes the topics and the conceptual framework of these studies? This presentation shows the dominance of studies on emigration from Lebanon as well as the role played by the Lebanese Diaspora in its home country. The specific case of the development of studies on Palestinian refugees and their settlement in Lebanon is also discussed.
