This paper deals with the making of a national heritage through the story of the rehabilitation of the Barakat building into a museum for urban memory. It describes the actors and main stakes of making a society museum in Beirut and also a crucial moment in this still unachieved museum in 2016

L'article décrit le projet de transformation de cet ancien immeuble de rapport beyrouthin en musée de la mémoire de la ville. Il décrit les acteurs et les enjeux de la fabrication d'un patrimoine urbain et constitue une description d'une étape cruciale de ce projet toujours inachevé en 2016.
