Abstract : Initiated in the 1990s, forest certification aims to promote sustainable forest management. However, despite the efforts devoted to its implementation, it does not meet the expected success. Through the study of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification in the light of the actor-network theory, this article aims to synthesize the causes of this failure and to propose some avenues in order to overcome them.
