Les mondes savants et leur visualisation, de l'Antiquité à aujourd'hui

Abstract : As a social activity dedicated to the production and diffusion of knowledge, science generates over time an extensive amount of material and documentary evidence, which can be analyzed to explore the organisation and dynamics of various scholarly worlds. The combination of spatial approach with social network analysis thus provides a relevant basis to capture the specific configuration and geography of scientific activities, from Plutarch's learned banquets to contemporary Web of Science.
