Consommation de masse et consommation de classe à Paris des années 1880 aux années 1920 : bilan d’une recherche

Abstract : This article aims to present the main results of our PhD in modern history, on the Parisian working class’ consumption from the 1880s to the 1920s. Analysing the goods that this group possessed and the transactions that took place around them address questions remaining open about the construction of a social class and its daily existence, understood through the prism of privacy, common trade relations and sociability.
