Abstract : Are we not all passengers on the “Bounty”, the “Pequod” or “Nautilus”? From antiquity to the present day, images of marine fury have their story. They are the ocean lies a place where one of the least studied foundations of Western political thought. This book - combining art, literature, history and philosophy - began to restore the historic, before confronting case studies. Once collected, the figures of Maritime Command, pulled the big time then deformed by a legendary floating all participating ensembles education of good and evil dipped in the swell.
