A Proposal for Teaching Philosophy in the Lycées Professionnels

Abstract : In this paper the author sets out a case for extending philosophy teaching into French Vocational High Schools. He bases his argument on the intrinsic value of philosophical knowledge, and suggests emphases which would be needed to initiate practically-minded students into its charms.
