Le ‘Goth Ansileubus’, les Glossae Salomonis et les glossaires wisigothiques. Mise au point sur les attributions et les sources glossographiques du Liber glossarum

Abstract : This second contribution provides several corrections relating to issues of attribution and sources. The first part focuses on the hypothetical implication of a certain Ansileubus in the creation of the Liber glossarum, as this name is attached to a copy (not preserved) of the LG, once witnessed at Moissac abbey. After dismissing the possibility that the Moissac glossary was a witness of the Glossae Salomonis, we seek to clarify the relationship between the epitome of Munich (R) and the gl. Salom. The second part deals more specifically with the issue of glossographical sources that are components of the LG. This aspect leads us on the trail strewn with pitfalls of the "ancient" glossaries published by Goetz and Lindsay. The analysis of some examples leads to reevaluate the relationship between the LG and glossaries from Spain, as well as to the conclusion that the LG preserves materials of two types: “source files” and excerpts from some Isidore’s works. In this regard, the many duplicated glosses that are spread among the glossary form special cases sets whose exploration shows highly promising.
