Résumé

This paper aims at studying the Greek word antanaklastos and its Latin translation reciprocus in grammatical context. After having analysed the use of both words in Priscian's treatment of reflexive pronouns, we will discuss the entire lexical family of antanaklasthai both on its proper and in its metaphorical meaning. This surveying will lead to a new interpretation of the single reference of antanaklastos to participle and to a reconsideration of the Stoic theory on this particular word–class.
