Les systèmes sémiotiques dans l’action conjointe en didactique. Une étude de cas en géologie à l’école élémentaire : la coupe d’un appareil volcanique.

Abstract : Choosing the contrasted practices of two teachers as our starting point, we study the same graphic semiotic system – a vertical section of a conical volcanic system. We analyse then compare the two practices within the theoretical framework of joint action in didactics. We show that they differ not only in their uses of the semiotic systems the pupils are confronted with but also and concomitantly in the knowledge brought into play. We define these differences using the dialectics of the notions of learning interaction and epistemic interaction. The case study also leads us to focus on the vertical section as an object of the didactical environment. We proceed to analyze how this section can function as an object of the didactical environment and the retroactions produced.
