Státník’s paper is a study of socialist work groups based both on archives and personal experience and addresses the underlying doctrine of the „participation of workers in the management of the economy“. It highlights the“socialist emulation in the Soviet Union“, and the specificities of its application in Czechoslovakia, to conclude on the appropriateness issue of writing History as a direct witness.
