Progressively imposed by Austin, Benvéniste, Elias and Derrida or still Bourdieu, the performativity drives us to rethinking the space through the representations. Far from being exhaustive, the geographical adaptation of the concept of performatividade is based on a reflection on the context (Giddens), body and sexuality (Butler) and power (Foucault) in order to find a more concrete way of thinking the relations between the determination of the social structures and the human action. This conceptual frame, in a geography of the everyday life, allows us to re-think the ideas of subjectivity, incorporation and the social identity, nationality and etnicity, authority in the use of power and social position, as well as to understand the efficiency of the action and to show how this action, understood like a continuous of practices, is a dynamic process which can hold up a geo-graphic movement to think in a new way the social space and the territory.

Resumo: Progressivamente imposta por Austin, Benveniste, Elias e Derrida ou ainda Bourdieu, a perfomatividade impele-nos a repensar o espaço atraves das representações. Longe de ser exaustiva, a adaptação geográfica do conceito aqui proposta inspira-se nas reflexões sobre o contexto (Giddens), sobre o corpo e a sexualidade (Butler) e o poder (Foucault) a fim de encontrar uma forma mais concreta de pensar as relações entre a determinação das estruturas sociais e a acção humana. Este instrumento conceptual permite, numa geografia do quotidiano, pensar a subjectividade, a incorporação e a identidade social, nacionalidade e etnicidade, autoridade no exercício do poder e posição social, revelando-se ainda útil para compreender a eficácia da acção e mostrar como é que essa acção, entendida como um contínuo de praticas, é um processo dinâmico que nos permite empreender urn movimento geo-gráfico para pensar de outro modo o espaço social e o território.
