L’ethos de la convivialité. De la table à la tablette

Abstract : First mentioned in the physical and symbolic field of eating and the table, conviviality was linked to the pleasure of sharing good food. It is now shifting to various social life aspects, such as daily relationships, working conditions and object‐related issues. In this respect, conviviality plays a very significant role in the use of digital interface. Hence the double semiotic and pragmatic shifting of conviviality, from the table to the tablet, though retaining fundamental characteristics of trust and wellbeing values. It is also being expressed in new fields through figurative conversions. Among other examples, is the smart station which places conviviality at the heart of its user representation system, with as a major dimension, a tailor‐made digital offer.
