"L'autre" révolution technologique en sciences du langage : les cas du phonographe et du magnétophone à cassette.

Abstract : The history of language sciences having been understandably focused on the role played by writing in the equipment of language and in the progressive technologization of Linguistics, the revolution generated by the possibility of the recording of human voice has been relegated to back seat. This paper studies the reasons of this gap, which are related among others to the “technological refusal”, claims for a balanced treatment between different revolutions and shows the socio-political involvements of these changes.
