This thematic dossier of EJES focuses on the 1945-2000 interval and a on geographical framework that has so far been quite neglected by the historiography of the humanitarian: Central and Eastern Europe. Indeed, although the historiographic production on the humanitarian has increased since the 1990s, very few works have been devoted specifically to Central and Eastern Europe.
