This chapter completes the previous chapter on word order. Hungarian is not a 'free word order' language but it shows pragmatically determined word order variation. Each constituent can be topicalized without morphological marking. The comment contains the preverbal focus position. These conclusions are based on two corpus analysis, one of attested data and another of constructed sentences.

Ce chapitre complète le précédent chapitre sur l'ordre des mots. Le hongrois n'est pas une langue à 'ordre des mots libre' mais l'ordre des constituants est variable selon des facteurs discursifs. Tout constituant peut être topicalisé sans marque morphologique. Dans le commentaire, la position du focus est préverbale et le focus porte un accent spécifique. La conclusion se base sur l'analyse de deux corpus, l'un attesté, l'autre construit.
