Privacy and Mobile Technologies: the Need to Build a Digital Culture

Abstract : This paper studies the topic of privacy in its relations with mobile technologies. After presenting the complexity of the topic and the need for an interdisciplinary approach on this subject, we analyze its media coverage in the modern public space. Despite the di culties high- lighted by these studies, we argue that research e orts should support the emergence of mobile services that respect users' privacy as well as the development of a digital culture of privacy.
