Famiglie tra le alpi : itinerari di alcune famiglie mercantili tra Svizzera e Francia, 16ème-18ème siècle
Résumé
The observation of parenthoods and of relationships built by some families of Swiss origins in 17th century Lyons, allows us to study the problem of the insertion of foreigner merchants in an urban context. The Protestant origin of these families make the observation more complicated, but more interesting, allowing us to think about the nature and the meaning of borders, as well as about the relevance of analytical categories such as integration of strangers for studying urban identities during the Early Modern Period.
