Face à face distanciel et didactique des langues

Abstract : In this paper we describe the specificity of desktop videoconferencing (DVC), which is increasingly used in language learning. The "face-to-face interaction at a distance" between the participants is characterized by a space that is disorienting due to the fact that it is highly multimodal, flexible and unstable. We then illustrate some of its uses in teaching FFL before drawing some epistemological reflections for language teaching.
