Une orientation théorique pour l'analyse des pratiques enseignantes en didactique des mathématiques

Abstract : The article begins by looking back on the evolution of research on teachers. It then bases its analysis taking the view that student learning is not the sole objective of teachers who must also focus on various job specific requirements. Different examples of mathematics teaching are used by the article to reveal unwritten rules of the profession, some of which are directly related to the content of what is being taught. It also shows how teachers can make full use of the leeway they may enjoy and underlines the possibilities for personal development.
