Mise en oeuvre de la démarche d'investigation dans le cadre des nouveaux programmes de sciences physiques et chimiques : étude de cas au collège

Abstract : This case study concerns the implementation of the new French physics and chemistry curriculum in lower secondary schools. After the characterization of this curriculum, the paper proposes a didactic analysis of a physics lesson led by a young teacher and based on an inquiry process, which is the most important element of the curriculum reform. The analysis is supported by the Joint Action Theory in Didactics. It shows that the teacher has the will to implement the reform and describes some of his difficulties that he overcomes by taking alone the responsibility of the greater part of the knowledge progress in the lesson. A discussion about the determinants of this teacher's didactic action contributes to a more general reflection as for the implementation of this curriculum.
