Industrial Ecology, an Innovative Approach Serving Spatial Planning: the Example of the Tool PRESTEO© (A Program to Research Synergies on a Territory)
Abstract : Industrial ecology is an interdisciplinary framework for designing and operating industrial systems as living systems interdependent with natural systems. This paper presents industrial ecology and its relevant territorial echoes. Our goal is to take advantage of these through the development of PRESTEO and the exploration of the cross-over between industrial ecology and social sciences such as spatial planning and territorial intelligence.
