Les " Sentiers de l'imaginaire ", au seuil de la transmodernité

Abstract : In a district of Aveyron in the south of France, a cultural agent of rural development has tried to reconsider the planning approach of the tourist destinations. The objective was to move away from an instrumental and marketing approach and rather to give more importance back to a cultural way of dwelling, rooted in the daily life within the territory. The challenge was then to revitalize rural life, using the involvement and a strong participation of the inhabitants-creators as the principal way to develop recreational uses of the rural community. Then, environmental education can be understood as an innovative process allowing, via the establishment of a localized cultural system, the recapture of a rural place by the local community.
