L'approche par les seuils dans la pré-modélisation d'un outil de monitoring du développement territorial local

Abstract : Since the 1970s, a number of disciplines (economics, ecology, social sciences, humanities, architecture, etc.) have used the threshold method, and models have been developed. In this contribution, our attempt at threshold modelling will answer the following question: can the concept of thresholds characterize the various on-going and existing multiform development/growth processes in increasingly anthropized territories? It is assumed that the threshold phenomenon occurs once a development process slows after a period or plateau of stability. The threshold is physical, functional, or cognitive. On maps and graphs, crossover indicators and situations wherein the threshold has been crossed are visible, evidence of a downturn in development and a regression. A simulation protocol is therefore stopped. The final part of my contribution sketches out how to observe and evaluate the capacities of the systems in question and to grow and develop harmoniously in the long term in accordance with local resources through threshold-based approaches. Experiences and methods linked to techniques for analyzing decisions and to the need to put in place mechanisms for surveillance, territorial watch, monitoring, etc., are necessary to firmly establish this part.
