Caractérisation de raisonnements socioscientifiques dans une perspective d'éducation au développement durable : apports et limites du traitement d'une controverse environnementale par le débat

Abstract : Our approach to the Education for sustainable development is one to the education of a committed citizen, enlightened and able to make choices in a moving world. It also aims at making a critical and complex thought emerge and develop. We study the evolution of socioscientific reasonings through speeches produced by trainee teachers (of different subjects) dealing with an environmental issue. Our analysis is based on six dimensions (problematization, scales, knowledge, uncertainties, values and regulations).The determination of level indicators allows us to measure the evolution of a rationality in process in construction. The originality of our work lies in the fact that the situation/problem is drawn from a local issue. We notice that constituting groups and having them exchange modifies not only the way of reasoning from a local to a global point of view but also the way of considering the complexity and uncertainties deeply linked to sustainable development issues.
