DStretch® et l'amélioration des images numériques: applications à l'archéologie des images rupestres

Abstract : Among all the tools currently available for rock art studies, DStretch®, plug-in for ImageJ© designed specifically for the enhancement of digital images of pictographs, seems to be one of the most efficient to decipher fainted figures while being fast, easy to use and cheap. The examples presented here show that DStretch is currently one of the best way to achieve what should be now the scientific standards for image enhancement of rock paintings and, in some cases, engravings.
