Abstract : According to a perspective strengthened afterward as knowledge-power, Foucault in his first lesson in Collège de France, 1970, focused on the institutions of justice in archaic Greece. News measure and new uses of currency in Corinth and Athens are the opportunity for a new consideration about Marxian theory of fetishism and money. The tyrant of Corinth, the legislator of Athens would they be the "inventors" of the monetary Sovereignty? Distant from a general equivalent, the archaic currency seems to be a matter of a sovereign institution connected with socialization of debts.
