Une copie moderne du "sacramentaire" de Charles le Chauve (Paris, BnF, lat. 9447 et lat. 1141), témoin du goût des collectionneurs du XVIIe siècle pour le Moyen Âge

Abstract : The contribution explores the seventeenth century copy (Paris, BnF, lat. 9447) of a famous illustrated carolingian manuscript knows at the "sacramentary of Charles the bald" (Paris, BNF, lat. 1141). This last manuscript has been producted in the artistic area of Charles the bald in the ninth century and its illustrations of the canon of the mass reflects the deep technological meaning of the eucharist at the carolingian period. The Lat. 9447 is a modern copy of the famous carolingian manuscript and tells us on the interest of a "collectionneur" of the seventeenth century, Jean Ballesdens, and its fascination for the manuscripts of the middle ages. The contribution briefly explores the main aspects of the copy of the text and, most of all, of the carolingian paintaings producted by the artist of the seventeenh century.
