Abstract : Faced with a protest movement that started in March 2011 in the wake of the Tunisian and Egyptian revolutions, it is the most brutal repression along with the systematic use,and very effective use, of divisions, whether (religious, ethnic orand political, ) and the most brutal repression, which has enabled the efficiency of the Syrian regime to resist with such a resilience the protest thrust started in March 2011 in the wake of the Tunisian and Egyptian spring. And it is the division of his opponents, in Syria and abroad alike, as well as the disagreements of their foreign partners, over goals, methods and strategies, which caused their weakness.
