L'impact des trames vertes et de la végétalisation des villes sur l'adaptation des systèmes urbains aux changements climatiques. Une analyse de la littérature scientifique

Abstract : What is the relationship between greenway and urban adaptation to climate change? Although the vegetalisation of cities is overall associated to urban living being and to cities inhabitants' well-being, it also participates to urban systems' adaptation to future climate change. Here we focus on the growing scientific interest on climate and urban vegetation, using a scientometric approach; the result of a transversal analysis of selected papers which generates a three-dimensional reading of the combination of climate with urban greenways. The first aspect relates to policies and sensitive forms of these links, the second category refers to the technical and historical of the relationship between climate and greenways, the third focus on the production of data and projections. The first two dimensions are quickly discussed, while the last one is more detailed, following five representative thema of this relationship: urban heat island, general effects of the trees, role of evapotranspiration, effects of vegetation on run-off and its effect on air quality and CO2 storage. The conclusion embraces these results and resumes the scope of this work and its limits, while noting its interest in urban studies on adaptation to climate change.
