La formation contemporaine des avocats : aiguillon d'une recomposition de l'enseignement du droit en France ?

Abstract : "This article focuses on a decree passed in March 2007 that enables Sciences Po Paris to deliver law degrees. It analyzes to what extent this decree partakes in the contemporary reshaping of the legal profession. Indeed, business lawyers are the main beneficiaries of the reform. The decree thus confirms that they have increased their power within the profession and that they are now able to influence the system of legal training. Their link with the elite Parisian school strengthens the legitimacy of their practices, while it gives the school the opportunity to propose a new way of teaching law, designed precisely in opposition to the French university tradition. The paper therefore addresses the impact of such alternative legal training on the legal system."
