A Citade por intermitência: dos tempos da festa a um urbanismo dos tempos

Abstract : For the Author proposes, fair has to be thought as a possibility of encounter in the post-modern city, a moment of exchange, an experience in trial through the explosion of time, space, organizations and movement; a time without temporal pressure or emergency dictatorship; an essential temporality against the progressive withdrawal of grand group rhythms. The Author explores the celebration, the fleeting and cyclic motions of space-and-time, a hybrid and fractal object that unfolds and moves from its scale, temporality, periodicity, audience, way and shape. Without doubt, the fair has much to say about the city, from geography to urbanism. The Author suggests that the fair be used as a type of laboratory as well as a platform of urban innovation. He insists on the advantageous transfer of certain extraordinary elements existing within this fair to the urban everyday life, from the unique to the ordinary. A moment of sharing and learning which will affect and encourage the proper sense of care for both the city and its inhabitants.
