De la " proximité " aux " services aux personnes " : le " privé " comme facteur d'inégalité entre les hommes et les femmes

Abstract : The recent development of jobs marked by the notion of proximity, such as "personal services" promoted by the plan Borloo, is mainly aimed at women, by leaning implicitly on their supposed specific qualities. This gendered reference conceals precarious conditions of jobs and recreates, in wage labour, gender inequality, forcing women to adopt positions which lower them compared to men. The actual and future importance of these jobs requires wondering about the building of a public working space in close relationships.
