Les migrations climatiques internationales

Population science cannot give an opinion on the timing or geographically variable intensity of climate change. On the other hand, based on the most widespread hypothesis of average global warming, it can propose a typology of international migrations linked to the climate changes that are likely to occur in the 21st century. This typology distinguishes between forced, amenity and economic migration.

La science de la population ne peut se prononcer ni sur le calendrier ni sur l'intensité géographiquement variable des évolutions climatiques. En revanche, en partant de l'hypothèse la plus répandue d'un réchauffement moyen de la planète, elle peut proposer une typologie des migrations internationales liées aux changements climatiques que réserve sans doute le XXIe siècle. Une telle typologie conduit à distinguer des migrations obligées, d'aménité et économiques.
