Holisme, anatomicité et hiérarchie

Abstract : According to semantic holism, semantic properties are anatomic by nature, i.e., intrinsically collective. According to interpretation holism, meaning, or content, is collectively attributed. The thesis that meaning is holistically constituted may be defended provided we take into account a molecularity requirement. The requirement's role is to introduce order or articulation in the language, via a hierarchy of logical complexity, provided we pay due attention to a finitary condition imposed on anatomicity.
