Abstract : Research on ergonomic practice has demonstrated its relevancy in several fields, including prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD). However, developments in this direction are necessary to curb down the development of the pathology. The epistemological objective of this paper is to start a discussion about the criteria of scientific assessment of researches investigating this question with different focuses : epidemiological research, experimental research, research on interventions. The position proposed here emphasizes that each of these approaches is necessary for MSD prevention, but that further interactions are necessary between these research worlds, including forms of assessment that better take in account the epistemological differences.
