Every country is characterized by two essential elements that allow to identify: people who live there and its territories. Imagine France in twenty years therefore led to consider the future of these two characteristics. To integrate, it is necessary to conduct a prospective geo-demographic nature of which this book offers the first exercise ever conducted in France in 2030.
For this purpose, it first has a fine review of the evolution of French territories. Then he offers a critical and challenging analysis of geo-demographic perspectives. Prospective research then led to inventory seven major risk for 2030, they need to "provide for not seeing them." Four prospective scenarios are then developed and are subject to a comparative review. The result is the statement of 67 recommendations for the future.

Imaginer la France dans vingt ans conduit donc à examiner l'avenir de ces deux caractéristiques. Pour les intégrer, il est nécessaire de conduire une prospective de nature géodémographique, dont ce livre propose le premier exercice jamais réalisé sur la France à l'horizon 2030. Dans ce dessein, il présente d'abord un examen fin de l'évolution des territoires français. Puis il propose une analyse critique et stimulante des perspectives géodémographiques. La recherche prospective conduit ensuite à inventorier sept risques majeurs à l'horizon 2030, ceux qu'il faut " prévoir pour ne pas les voir ". Quatre scénarios prospectifs sont ensuite élaborés et font l'objet d'un examen comparatif. Il en résulte l'énoncé de 67 recommandations pour l'avenir.
