Does loving every mean loving every every, even non-existent ones ?

Résumé

The study introduces the problematic of quantification and universals in 13th century logic and in sophismatic literature in particular. In an extended appendix, the sophisma "Omnis phoenix est" from the anonymous Opus puerorum is edited (Ms. Amiens, Bibliothèque municipale 406, f. 138ra-139ra).
