Temps de travail et temps sociaux à Beyrouth : Employés de banque et chauffeurs de taxi

Abstract : Based on two examples, bank employees and taxi drivers in Beirut, we examine the "absence" of the issue of working time in social demands in Lebanon. This absence that would be the indicator of the salience of a particular relationship with time : we would then be in presence of heterogeneous temporality regimes, to the extent of fragmentation of society into social worlds where work is submitted to radically opposed constraints.
