Nonflint Stone Tools of the Early Upper Paleolithic.

Abstract : Among the remains recovered from Paleolithic living surfaces, a category consists of blocks, cobbles, and plaquettes, which were used in a rough state and which display traces of use. A list of the different objects classified by type of percussion and by presumed or inferred activity, in part determined by experimental replication, is presented here.
