The article establishes relations between the thought of Pierre-Joseph Proudhon and Michel Foucault and the manner in which the two thinkers discuss the relations of power. Retaking the perspectives of governmentality studies, it presents classical anarchist thought as a posture in which the political gains a certain intelligibility in terms of force relations (in the governmental motive), and government itself in terms of technology given the practices or techniques of government. For this, indicating proximities, and parallels between the serial analysis proposed by Proudhon, in the late 19th century, and the analytics of power being engaged in current governamentality studies.

O artigo estabelece relações entre o pensamento de Pierre-Joseph Proudhon e Michel Foucault na maneira pela qual os dois pensadores analisaram as relações de poder. Retomando a perspectiva dos estudos em governamentalidade, apresenta a reflexão anarquista clássica como uma postura na qual a política ganha inteligibilidade em termos de relações de força (nas racionalidades governamentais) e o governo em termos de tecnologia (nas práticas ou técnicas de governo). Para tanto, pontua as proximidades e os paralelos entre a análise serial proposta por Proudhon, no final do século 19, e a analítica do poder engajada nos atuais estudos em governamentalidade.
