Can Homo Economicus Follow Kant's Categorical Imperative? A Comment

Economic theory has made several attempts at integrating the Kantian categorical imperative. Mark D. White recently proposed such an analysis. This is a comment on his article. Our commentary on White's article shall be presented through two distinct sections. We shall first discuss the status of obligations and then finally link the debate to the philosophical question of internalism.

La théorie économique a procédé à quelques tentatives d'intégration de l'impératif catégorique kantien dans son corpus analytique. Récemment M.D. White a proposé une analyse de ce type. Nous proposons un commentaire de cet article. Dans celui-ci, nous soulignons finalement l'intérêt qui pourrait être porté à la prise en compte plus générale du concept philosophique d'internalisme.
