Le Mozambique s'africanise-t-'il enfin?/Is education bringing the long due Africanisation of Mozambique?

Abstract : The popularity of the long delayed introduction of African languages in education in Mozambique has brought forth a dramatic change in the legitimization discourse of the ruling elite. The African character of the country is now fully acknowledged in the linguistic and cultural domains. Remains to be seen whether this will ensure a broader participation of the masses in the political processes.
